On March 6th, history was made again. Harry Styles released his fourth studio album titled “Kiss All The Time. Disco Occasionally.” Styles’ album debuted at #1 in 20 countries, and within the first week, had sold over 1 million copies. Previous to this, on January 22, Styles released his single for this album titled “Aperture,” which premiered at #1 across numerous platforms. As shocking as this may seem, this is not the first time this has happened for him.
This is Styles’ fourth studio album, accompanied by “Harry Styles,” “Fine Line,” “Harry’s House” and now this new one. The three previous albums to this have done just as well, as his first album sold 230,000 copies within the first week, making it the biggest debut week sales for a British man at that point. Styles’ second album followed the trend of success set by the first album, and even had the song “Watermelon Sugar” going on to win Best Pop Solo Performance at the 2020 Grammys. Following the pattern, Styles’ third album was nothing shy of similar, with it debuting at #1 on the Billboard hot 200 and selling 521,000 albums. And then at the 2023 Grammy Awards, this album was the one that won him album of the year. And now at Styles’ fourth album, he is following the trend of his last three albums with the major success of this one, as all 12 songs included in this track are all on the Billboard Hot 100.
Styles hasn’t been performing by himself for his whole career though. Back in 2010 he was put into a band, via “X Factor”, called One Direction. The band consisted of him and 4 other guys, and together they wrote, sang, and produced 5 albums in the span of 5 years. The band’s fame was incomprehensible. They went from being put in a band together in 2010, to producing their first song in 2011, which sold over 153,000 copies within the first week. All this success for them couldn’t last forever sadly; the band split in 2016, and each boy started their own solo career.
So where do things go from here for him? Styles announced that he will be going on a world tour in 2026, titled the “Together Together Tour.” The tour will run from May 16 – December 13 and will include 67 shows across 7 cities as well as a massive 30-night stay at Madison Square Garden. When talking about why he chose to approach this new tour in a more low-key way, compared to his last tour which consisted of 169 shows globally. In an interview with Zane Lowe and Apple Music, Styles commented, “I think it makes the show better. I think you can build something that doesn’t have to travel every night. I think the show itself is better.” This tour announcement has been met with some backlash for the pop star. Fans have run wild on social media expressing their frustration at the mere cost of tickets and the lack of shows that he will perform in the U.S especially. Fans are labeling this tour announcement as “insulting” and “betrayal” according to ABC News.
Styles’ career has been nothing short of incredible, as 2026 will continue to be a big year for him, it will be exciting to see what more comes of this, and if there are any more possible Grammys in his future.
