For Casimir Arntz, LEGO has been more than just a childhood toy — it’s been a creative outlet for years. He started building LEGO sets when he was around six to eight years old, and ever since then, his collection has continued to grow. What began with small sets slowly turned into more detailed builds, especially cars, which have become his favorite type of LEGO set to collect, Arntz said. Over time, Casimir has built a variety of different sets, each one taking anywhere from about half an hour to a few days to complete, depending on the size and difficulty. While some builds come together quickly, others require patience and focus. His favorite set so far is his two-foot-long DeLorean, inspired by his love for the movie Back to the Future. The DeLorean stands out not only because of its size but also because of how customizable it is. “I love all the different modifications you can do,” Arntz said. Being able to change parts of the build and make it his own is one of his favorite parts of LEGO. The DeLorean also happens to be his hardest build yet. With 1,872 pieces, it challenged him to slow down, follow instructions carefully, and stay committed until the final piece was placed. Even though it was difficult, Casimir says the experience was worth it. For him, the best part of building LEGO sets is getting to see the finished product after hours of work. “Getting the final product and modifying it is my favorite part,” Arntz said. Once a set is complete, he enjoys making changes and adding personal touches, turning each build into something unique. Beyond just building, LEGO has helped Casimir develop patience, problem-solving skills, and creativity. Each set gives him the chance to focus, relax, and express himself through design. Whether he’s working on a small build or a large, complex project, every set brings a sense of accomplishment. Casimir hopes to continue expanding his collection and take on even bigger challenges in the future. His passion shows that LEGO is more than following instructions — it’s about building something you’re proud of. From quick builds to detailed car models, Casimir Arntz continues to grow his LEGO collection one brick at a time, proving that sometimes the simplest hobbies can bring the most joy.
