Graduation day is almost here! Seniors are doing many things to get ready for this time, such as organizing, getting gowns, and planning a graduation party. They are also making sure academic credits are met and, if there are fees, getting those paid off.
Seniors planning to continue their education should visit campuses, complete the FAFSA, and choose a college or university to attend. This will help them get a sense of what their future campus will be like. Some scholarship requirements might include writing essays and/or getting recommendation letters. Meeting those deadlines and getting those ready would come in handy. Doing both of those things can help seniors make good choices about where they will be after high school.
If a senior plans on having a graduation celebration, they might want to start prepping early. Getting food and drinks coordinated would be a good idea to start with. Getting invitations sent out now is also a great way to begin. When you send invitations early, you get to know about how many people are able to come, and you will know not to align your party with someone else’s. You might also want to know where you’re going to have your graduation party, so looking for venues or even just getting your house ready is important. Getting these things ready now can help you later, so you won’t have to stress so much about it.
Seniors might be having mixed emotions about graduating from high school. Belse Nejash is a senior here at JHS, and she shared how she feels about the last semester of high school: “I feel excited for the year to end, and I’m ready to graduate high school.”
With that, seniors might be feeling scared, nervous, happy, or even excited for what comes after graduation. There are so many ways to help prepare for graduation day and beyond!
