The Bible Club is becoming a steady source of encouragement, friendship, and spiritual growth for students this school year. According to club member Josue, the group’s purpose is centered on connection and understanding: “to share the gospel as much as possible, help people understand the Bible more, take in wisdom, and hopefully touch as many lives as we can.” For him, the club is not just about reading Scripture, but about bonding with others and growing closer to God together. Josue has been part of the group for about seven months, counting both last year and this year. He originally joined because he wanted a dedicated space to talk about God and teach others who were curious about faith. That desire for connection is reflected in the club’s weekly meetings, which take place for just under an hour in Ms. Rachel’s classroom. Meetings begin with an opening prayer, followed by snacks, check-ins, and a discussion centered on a chosen Bible topic for the week. Students share ideas, reflect on personal experiences, and support one another throughout the conversation. One of the most meaningful activities so far, Josue shared, involved writing Bible verses on colorful sticky notes and placing them around the school. “We bonded a lot during that,” he said. “We were spreading God’s word and lifting people up at the same time.” Acts of kindness like this have become a defining part of the club’s identity. The group also has upcoming events, including a Thanksgiving-themed meeting filled with faith-based activities, and a Christmas gathering that Ms. Rachel plans to host at her church. Looking ahead, Josue hopes to welcome more students and continue building a supportive community. “My goal is just to spread the word of God as much as possible and invite anyone who wants to join,” he said. With weekly fellowship, meaningful discussions, and service-focused projects, the Bible Club continues to be a place where faith grows and friendships flourish.
