Homecoming is more than just a dance or football game. It’s a celebration of school spirit that is stretched all throughout the week, filling classrooms and hallways with excitement and pride. The week had everyone dressing up with their creativity and school pride.
Friday, however, was the biggest day of the week. Students showed up in green and gold. The excitement carried into the pep rally, where cheerleaders, band members, and students sent off the football team to play in the big Homecoming game.
That night, the football game brought even more excitement. The stands were packed with students, staff, and families, all ready to cheer on the Cavaliers together as they faced the O’Gorman Knights. “The energy was insane,” said senior Lauren Castle. The student section was filled with chants and nonstop energy as the Cavaliers fought hard until the final whistle. The cheerleaders and band rallied the crowd and kept spirits high from start to finish.
Once the final whistle blew, the night wasn’t over. After the game, students would get ready for the long- awaited Homecoming dance. The dance was filled with music, laughter, plenty of dancing, and many memories. A perfect way to end a week of celebration.
Homecoming Week reminded students of the importance of coming together as a community. From the themed dress-up days to the pep rally, football game, and dance, Cavaliers showed that school spirit is a way of building memories that last long after the week is over.
