Did you know the Library isn’t only for checking out books? You can do so much more, like renting a calculator for a test or printing out pictures for an assignment. You can also use the Library to host a club meeting in the Innovation Lab. Many groups already use the Library, including Best Buddies, Renaissance, Salsa, Manga, and Book Club.
The Library is designed to be a resource for all students, not just for reading. There is a wide collection of eBooks and audiobooks, as well as 30-plus games and buckets of LEGO bricks. Whether you need academic tools or just want to unwind, there is something for you in the JHS Library.
One cool feature is the Green Screen Room. This is a place where students can record a video for class, creative projects, or just for fun–a place where students can use cool backgrounds without needing to leave campus.
Another thing the Library offers is comfortable seating. “I like sitting on the couches and talking to my friends,” said senior Michael Larsen. You can sit at one of the many seating areas in the Library before school, after school, during open lunch, or during blended. These spaces are open for studying, reading, or socializing with your peers.
With its variety of services and spaces, the JHS Library is more than just a place to read; it allows for learning, collaboration, and creativity. Open to all students, the Library has become a place where you can explore new ways to learn and socialize.
