Managing time between sports, school work, and personal life is no easy task, but Teagan McCallon and Deavion Simonsen have figured it out!
When football isn’t on their schedule, they spend their time surrounded by friends and family, making money, or pushing themselves even harder at the gym.
Looking back, their biggest advice to younger athletes is simple but powerful: “Stay consistent in the weight room and never give up. You want to make sure you build up that mentality and consistency because it can transfer not only onto the field but in your daily life. You also have to show up but to show out and you have to push yourself or you’re not gonna get any better.”
A good snack is a must before game time. Teagan McCallon powers up with a Subway sub, while Deavion Simonsen finds his energy in a Jimmy John’s sub.
When it’s time to lock-in for a game or practice, Teagan McCallon is vibing to “LVL” by A$AP Rock, while Deavion Simonsen is getting in the zone to “Over” by Drake.
On a completely free day with no practice and no school, they would trade the grind for some fun with either fishing in the peaceful outdoors or kicking back and watching some college football.
At the end of the day, Teagan McCallon and Deavion Simonsen show that being an athlete isn’t all about what happens on the field.
It’s about consistency, discipline, and finding joy in the little things. With their drive and determination, and so much passion, they are proving that success comes from the mindset and not only the talent.
